My name is Christina McKague, and I am a 2200-hour graduate of Orthopedic Assessment and Remedial Massage Therapy. My touch is on the gentle and assertive side as I work through the layers of tissue to provide your muscles with a safe place to let go of tension & pain. Techniques utilized within a treatment may include Swedish and Non-Swedish Massage Techniques, including Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Static Pressure Techniques, Cross-Fibre Frictions, Fascial and/or Connective Tissue Techniques, plus Joint Mobilizations.
I have direct experience working with a variety of different people from expectant mothers, infants, teens and seniors. During my time in school I studied various conditions and was given the opportunity to learn and work with people who had musculoskeletal and overuse injuries, postural and joint dysfunction, as well as conditions of the central and peripheral nervous systems. Further experience include conditions that contribute to chronic pain such as Fibromyalgia. With the background information you provide, my goal is to assess your pain and discomfort then develop and follow through with a safe and effective treatment plan.
Prior to returning to school I worked in the Organic food industry where I experienced the improved flavour, taste and quality of organic food. I believe that food grown without chemicals and/or pesticides is a human right not a privilege.
